The future is in our hands, and despite the high rate of unemployment, many people are still finding ways to make a living. One such individual is Bridget Zwani. She is a young author who has worked on two novels, The Shrink and Hope. She will be launching her third book, Kasane, on April 16, 2022 at Kasane.
In an interview with WeekendLife, Zwani revealed that Botswana Tourism will be sponsoring her launch. This will be her book’s main sponsor for the next five years, and it will cover the cost of printing and publishing.
She said the inspiration for her book came from her visit to the area one day. She will be launching her book at the Cresta Mowana Lodge. There will be a novel signing session from 11am to 2pm, and the book will also be available for purchase.
Zwani said that the novel reading session will be held on the boat cruise, and she noted that the music will also be played during the event. She said that the reason she chose to hold the launch on a boat cruise was because it features character named Chobe.
She also revealed that the novel signing will be held at various locations in the country. The first one will be at The Duck Café in Maun on April 17, 2022. Zwani noted that when she was younger, she didn’t have a passion for writing. She started her writing journey after someone suggested that she write a book for a concept that she had. She said that she got the motivation to write from her experiences, and she realized that she could improve her work by reflecting on what she has learned.
People’s feedback has also helped keep her writing going, and after reading The Shrink, she was able to overcome her initial fear of publishing. Being invited to various events also boosted her confidence, as she was also able to meet various writers.
She said that she doesn’t have a role model, as she looks up to everyone. Zwani said that she enjoys working with various writers, such as Dan Brown, Yaa Gyasi, JoJo Moyes, and Katie Fforde. She also noted that her writing has always been a hobby, and it eventually turned into a profession without even thinking about it.
She said that she doesn’t have a role model, as she looks up to everyone. She added that she would have liked to be like her role model, but as it is, she is happy that her hobby has turned into a successful career.
In May 2014, controversial pint sized musician, Odirile Sento married his longtime girlfriend, Kagiso Sento in a glamorous wedding, not knowing that eight years later, the two will be fighting until the very end of their holy union.
Mental health is one critical element in someone’s life but gloomily, it is often overlooked. Topics centered on mental health and depression dominate the public discourse. The national conversation surrounding mental wellness, both online and offline has aided in the stigma of suffering from depression being removed, slowly but surely.
