A Botswana Events Management company, Krafted Vision, will host the Loliwe hit maker, a South African dynamic guitarist and award-winning song writer, Bulelwa Mkutukana who goes by the stage name ‘Zahara’ live on the 5th of March at Fairgrounds Pavilion.
The event comes after the launch of Zahara’s latest album ‘Nqaba Yam’ which was to be hosted at Fairgrounds Pavilion on the 5th December 2021 but was deferred to 2022 due to bad weather conditions.
Krafted Vision coordinator Lebogang Mbusane explained that the event doesn’t qualify as what seems to be a trend “one person show” but rather it only means that Zahara will be the main artist. “The whole idea is to have a headlining act whose performance will be extended,” Mbusane explained.
Mbusane told Weekendlife that Zahara will have a full band with backup singers and give a comprehensive live performance on the night. “She is not just appearing for the event, she is coming with full force,” he said.
He said that the live acts will be completed by 12 other artists and the main act will perform from 9pm. Local act, Seeretsi & the Natives is expected to also take up the stage at this event. “Our target audience is adults, we want them to be free to go home when they feel tired or stay when they want more,” Mbusane elaborated.
According to Mbusane Krafted Vision is new in the event management industry. He said they hosted an event late last year which unfortunately did not go as planned. “This is our first stepping stone and we are pushing in with our partners to host many other similar events,” he said.
Mbusane went on to explain that they have worked with International Artists like Sun-el Musician. He said they have never had an issue with artists missing their shows and that will continue to be the narrative. “We work very closely with our artists and their management and we do a background check before booking artists, we don’t just pick anyone,” he emphasized.
The line-up of the event features local artists such as Sereetsi and the Natives, Boogie Sid, Fifi Africa, Hai Chang, Reina’R , Trax and more. The tickets are sold at P300 for double general, P200 single general and golden circle tickets goes for P500 and include a full meal.
The tickets are available at Liquarama stores in Riverwalk, South Ring Mall, Kgale, Middle Star, Broadhurst, Block 5,Bonington , Phakalane, Lobatse Cumberpark and Mochudi.
In May 2014, controversial pint sized musician, Odirile Sento married his longtime girlfriend, Kagiso Sento in a glamorous wedding, not knowing that eight years later, the two will be fighting until the very end of their holy union.
Mental health is one critical element in someone’s life but gloomily, it is often overlooked. Topics centered on mental health and depression dominate the public discourse. The national conversation surrounding mental wellness, both online and offline has aided in the stigma of suffering from depression being removed, slowly but surely.
