Local young intellects crack Senatla APP

Senata App

The young masterminds of Oanaya Daniel and Ndaniligwa Lashani Pako Kimberly have initiated Senatla App which is bridging the gap between the small stock suppliers and the consumers.

The app, simply dubbed Senatla Neighborhood, according to the youthful duo was established last year following a tumultuous Covid-19 period that was punctuated by strict regulations that deterred people from unnecessary movements. “It is when that we came up with this app because both the small businesses and the consumers were affected. Our app basically helps the consumer to buy within the locality,” said Daniel. By then 67k people in Botswana were affected by the virus.

In the App the consumer clicks whatever product they want and the prices will show and they will select what they want. From there it will report back to the app originators and the transaction will be facilitated and supply follow through. To join and buy through the APP one simply goes to Senatla.com on his smartphone or computer and it will load in details everything. The App is not yet in Google Store.

Already through Senatla Technologies, they have five suppliers of vegetables, chickens, eggs and beef. “The pick is still slow people are still thinking of scammers but we are hopeful that this year there will be significant improvement to have new people and distribute more and increase our portfolio,” 22 year old Pako Kimberly explained.

The app currently is tailor made to assist small local businesses why? “Charity begins at home. Small businesses needs us more. After that Covid-19 wave we have noticed a boom of vendors especially at G-West shopping complex and that was a demonstration that indeed we should uplift the small businesses but as we grow we will include even medium and large scale businesses,” a 19 year old Accounting and Finance Student at Botswana Accountancy College (BAC) Daniel said.

The dedicated intellectuals maintain that another motivating factor to do this app was President Mokgweetsi Masisi’s reset agenda which talks about Knowledge Based Economy and Citizen Economic Empowerment (CEE). “And we walking the talk of the government of empowering fellow Batswana while we also embrace Knowledge based economy because we have brains and we should use them to think and prosper, not only us but the whole country,” said Pako Kimberly.
