Sua Flamingos offer Masule a contract

Former Township Rollers goalkeeper Mwapole Masule has been club-less after his contract was terminated by Orapa United this year February.

Newly promoted side, Sua Flamingos has offered a 2 year contract to former Township Rollers goalkeeper, Mwampole Masule, who has been club-less after his contract was terminated by Orapa United earlier this year in February.

Sua Flamingos who are coached by Raizor Tsatselebe, gained promotion this year after the Botswana Football Association National Executive Committee decided to end the league as it was with the Sua town based team equal on 37 points with Nico United with only 2 games left.

The team is said to have opted to boost their goalkeeping department as they currently have 2 goalkeepers, Thabo Race and Kenneth Mmoko. When contacted for comment team chairman, Tirelo Thebe, referred all inquiries on signings to the team Technical Director, Mooketsi China Mading confirmed that they are negotiating with the player as they want to boost their squad as they expect to return to training on the 6th of this month.

“I can confirm that we are negotiating with Masule and we expect to be done anytime soon if everything goes well. He is a great goalkeeper and we believe he can add to our team. He was recommended by our goalkeeper coach, Kagiso Tshelametse, who has already given him a training plan so that when he comes he will be in shape,” said the Technical Director.

On his part, his agent France Molopela Mpedi of Motime Sports Agency said that they have decided to settle for local teams as the corona outbreak has affected international moves.”That team or any team interested in Masule shouldn’t worry about paying me because my focus is to now help him get a team and to get his career back.

I feel they been worried that I will charge them but I have just decided not to charge for any move because I see that boy as my son and its not good to see a talented goalkeeper like him out for long. We expect to be done anytime all I can assure you is when the season resumes in Botswana he will be playing” said Molopela in a telephone interview.

The 28 year old goalkeeper has seen his career suffer mostly from being off the field and disciplinary issues with Orapa United who decided to terminate his contract with 2 years left.
