Trinity Mpho is coming back home this December and he intends to showcase the best of his performing self as soon as he lands on home soil. The Bobonong born is currently based in Canada where he has won a couple of awards as a musician.
In his words, Trinity says: “The red carpet event will be a celebration of Botswana music and talent to welcome me home to Botswana from Canada”.
â€¨Trinity expects to reconnect with friends, family and colleagues at the Red Carpet event which is being organised by Zenzele Hitchfield. “I am also very excited to be launching my new music video for my song “Soul Haven” at the event. It was directed by an award winning Canadian filmmaker and we had a wonderful time filming it. I am very proud of what we accomplished.”
Yes Trinity is also using the Red Carpet event to launch the new music video for his song, Soul Haven. The patriotism in Trinity has seen him flash the Botswana wherever he has been to in Europe.
â€¨“I am Botswana’s son. It is my goal to bring Botswana music to the world. We have a beautiful country and we have amazing talent. I want the rest of the world to know that Botswana is a musical force to be reckoned with,” says Trinity as he exudes his passion for this country and its musicians and artists.
â€¨Trinity is back home for a few months and what are his immediate plans? “My immediate plans are to spend some time with my family and friends because I have really missed them while I have been aaa in Canada. I will be preparing for the Hampton Jazz Festival which takes place in February and I am using the inspiration of being hoe, to write songs for my new album.”
Trinity explains that he will be home for a few months and then he will return to Canada where he is already booked for the 2016 musical festival season. “I also have plans to travel to several different countries to share our Botswana culture and music in their music festivals,” he says.
The talented and soulful artist says his next album will be released by mid-2016. “For now I hope everyone enjoys my new music video and I will enjoy my time a home.”
For her Zenzele explained that the Red Carpet event is meant to welcome Trinity back home and exhibit him as a talented Botswana artist based abroad. He will share the stage with a number of locally based artists, explained Zenzele who is optimistic about the catchy nature of the event. She wants the concert to be different to the many others that have been lined up. Trinity has promised to blow the audience with his voice and moves.
