PULA POWER GERMAN TWINS WIN BEST THEMED DRESS OUTFIT AT DURBAN JULY

Slayage almost defines what the Durban July is all about. And last weekend at Greyville, celebrities and fashion enthusiast alike braced the Durban weather, without holding back on the fashion. Botswana’s German Twins, of the Pula Power fame graced the event and caught Somizi’s eye with their dresses.

The Twins, Mavis and Lydia were invited for the experience courtesy of Durban Tourism. They got to tour the city and learn about its history in South African politics.

The theme for the 2016 Vodacom July was “Leader of the Pack”, and the twins, who have been on our TV screens since the entertainment show premiered wore matching glamorous figure hugging full length dresses. The garments, designed by local Rita-AC had bold red, blue colours with a touch of gold as well as a daring light yellow cape. It seems the designer was inspired by Japanese attire.

At the VIP marquee, where all the sashaying happens, the wins impressed the MC, who turned out to be none other than entertainer and TV presenter Somizi.

They won themselves VIP Tickets to the Chris Brown concert and vouchers worth R2000 at the Pavilion shopping center.

Pula Power Season 2 TV is expected to come to the BTV screen soon. The country music tour is also coming in November. Fans should also be on the lookout for out for the anticipated first ever Pula Power Music and Videos Awards before the end of the year.
