Eccos charm for investors revealed

Ecco City Greens has come up with an elaborate mechanism aimed at promising value to potential investors or sponsors. The ambitious plan further imbeds the motive for a Premier league return next season.

The Francistown based side which was thrown to the dogs by the ailing parastatal, Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) in 2014 because of financial constraints is now busy in the market persuading businesses to partner with the club in the form of value adding sponsorship.

According to a charming proposal seen by this publication, the club needs at least P1 million for the whole season to mount a credible campaign. The club says it cannot raise the amount on their own. The team’s main needs are on transport, camping facility, administrative logistic, technical equipment and human resource remunerations.

The investor luring plan is divided into four categories; August, platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and well wishers. For all these, an August sponsorship which will come with a price tag of P500, 000 plus will see the investor among the plethora of benefits, the team will be named with their name as prefix before City Greens. Advertisement space on club’s quarterly magazine, banners and stall at the venue, website display website display, parameter advertising at the games will be among the fruits to be enjoyed by the investors. Platinum sponsorship which cost P250, 000 will see the investor enjoying mileage from the front part of the jersey, newspaper and flyers adverts. The other fruits for this will be parameter advertising, website display as well as gaining publicity through radio interviews.

The other category for the sponsorship, Gold card will have the business partying with P150, 000 will see the sponsors logo being displayed at the back of the jersey. The partners will also get space on the team’s quarterly magazine, website display, parameter advertising and publicity from the radio interviews. Mamoja Diskie which is the only side to have won the league from the north has casted their net wider to catch even those that don’t have thousands to help. There is Silver bracket which cost P50, 000. The sponsor will see their logo displayed on the right side of the jersey, parameter advertising, website display, together with the space on the quarterly magazine. Bronze category is value at P10, 000 and has the following benefits; sponsor logo on print adverts, banners and stall advertising, and two free tickets per season.  For well wishers, they will only pop out P1000 while in turn they will get one free ticket per season, banners and stall at the venue and sponsor logo on the adverts.

With the first division north promising to be one of the toughest ever this coming season, the team is optimistic that they will gain automatic promotion to the highest league in the country. “I’m confident enough to say this brother; we don’t want play-offs but straight qualification. We have managed to retain the core of our team and the coach so all is well, we are busy looking for investors to help us,” Gift Keaitse Communication Manager at the club said.
