Bobirwa festive punch to inject life into SPEDU region

Despite the shocking news of BCL’s demise, the Bobirwa region may not have a dull festive after all, as the Bobirwa Festive Punch, a first of its kind in the region intends revive the mood of the area.

Speaking to WeekedLife this past Wednesday Event Coordinator of the Bobirwa Festive Punch Kabo G Kgathi said that preparations are in good progress. “We have sealed contracts and upfront payments with the expected performers as evident in our posters and line up ads,” he said.

The lineup features amongst others big local acts like Botswana’s African export Odirile ‘Vee’ Santo, the ‘I Do’ hit maker who currently enjoys African and International audience on DSTV music channel Trace after signing with Universal Music Group is expected to dish out what he knows best alongside local township hip hop star DrumaBoi, as well as “Nanzala Vuke’’ hitmaker Dj La Timmy who just tied the knot weeks ago. Kgathi further told this publication that his organizing team is working tirelessly to have the show grounds in good shape for the event, saying that they found the grounds in a very bad state,  “We are currently facilitating the preparations of the Bobonong Showground’s, restructuring it to an event hosting venue of note,’’ he said.

The Event Organizer also added that security and hospitality of the attendants and their properties is at the top of their priorities. “we have contracted a local security firm which is well equipped and resourced for events of this sort, as well as a number of bouncers and of course law enforcement agencies will be on the watch for a smooth Christmas eve turn up.’’

The event which will be hosted for the first time on the 24th of December this year will have early bird tickets at a cost of P80.00, and P100.00 for normal tickets and a P150.00 VIP sacrifice.
