Dr Tumi ‘Connect 2019 Tour’ reaches Botswana

South African gospel artist who is a doctor by profession, Dr Tumi, will be perform alongside local gospel artists as part of his music tour in South Africa and beyond. The event will be staged at Bojanala Waterfront on March 30th.

Otherwise known as Tumishang Makweya, Dr Tumi is a South African songwriter, vocalist, instrumentalist and a physician. He has the grace to heal from medical and spiritual perspective. Recent news revealed that his new album dubbed ‘The Gathering of Worshippers’ has gone gold in just 7 days. Dr Tumi is currently doing his music tour in South Africa and has enlisted Botswana as part of his next target.

“We chose Dr Tumi as he’s unmistakably the new leading gospel artist in South Africa, his album has reportedly become an all-time success and he recently filled up the Voortrekker Monument with 30,000 worshippers. He also has a huge following in Botswana,” said the Event Organiser, Gareth Butale. “It’s going to be an amazing and unforgettable night of praise and worship with the seasoned minister of song,” he added. Gareth shared that they have included a local line up also to perform alongside Dr Tumi.

‘Though Dr Tumi is the headline of the show, local gospel music greats will be featured, we are yet to finalize names and will be revealed in due course,” he said. “The show is not only for Christians but for people who enjoy listening and also appreciate worship songs,” he said.
Currently people are much interested in attending the show as tickets are selling fast.“We are looking forward to a sold out event and tickets have already gone on sale at all Super Spars and WebTickets kiosk at Riverwalk. We encourage people to buy tickets on time before they are sold out, no tickets will be sold at the gate for security reasons,” he added.

Tickets are selling at P200 (early bird) until February 15th; P250 standard and P350 VIP, the show starts at 18:00hrs.
