Notwane FC shine in new kit

Notwane FC unveiled their new home and away kits for the remaining 2018/19 season and upcoming 2019/20 season on Tuesday night in Molepolole stadium during their clash with BR Highlanders. Sechaba won the game 2- 1, taking the 10th position in the BTC Premier League.

In March, GetBucks signed a memorandum of agreement with Notwane FC vowing to sponsor the football team with P300 000.00 for the ending 2018/19 and 2019/20 season, purchase a new kit and create a website for the team just to mention a few. Last night the Fintech company honored the deal. The match started off on low note however second half of the match was highlighted by the Notwane FC players scoring two goals simultaneously against BR Highlighters in an enticing encounter. The new kit motivated the players to stage what was dubbed as one of the best games of the season.

GetBucks Managing director, Marthin de Kock during his motivational talk to the players stated “Bear Bryant once said “It’s not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference”. Prepare yourselves to be a winning team and we will witness Notwane FC leading the league. A single player can’t do it but the secret is to be unified as a team that will make us winners”.

With the GetBucks management team, Notwane FC administration team and the players all wearing the new kit, supporters went fanatic wanting a replica of the new shirts. When asked about the shirt replicas Public Relations Officer for Notwane, Mogomotsi Orapeleng stated that “The replica of the t shirt should be available in store before the beginning of the next season”.

During an interview after the match, de Kock stated “hard work always beat talent when talent doesn’t work hard”, meaning that no matter how talented the team may be, if they don’t work hard they will not win. Notwane won this game as they worked hard and played as a team.

Mason Greenwood attempted rape charges dropped

Charges of attempted rape and assault have been dropped against Manchester United footballer Mason Greenwood who was arrested in January 2022 after the allegations emerged.

The 21-year-old was arrested in January last year amid allegations surrounding images and videos that emerged online.

He was later charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The Crown Prosecution Service said the charges were discontinued after a key witness withdrew their involvement.
