Lizibo’s Di-out advocates against violence

Termed mfana wa style by the late MmaSefhako, a traditional enthusiast, Lizibo grew inspiration and wrote a song just like any other song his influence is usually fueled by happenings surrounding him including his latest release di-out (dining out) lyrically produced to calm down high reports of domestic violence that sometimes end as homicides.
The Afro-RnB hit maker is no stranger to producing hits that serenades as this time he saw fit to write something that can positively touch, motivate and even change people but mostly encourages growth in our nation. Sharing with WeekendLife, Lizibo reveals that “I wrote this song at a time I felt that my fellow brothers are derailing as there has been a lot of homicides, domestic violence reported throughout the year so I wrote it after a reflected moment of what my contribution as an entertainer was? As Lizibo what am I doing about it in my little corner?” with that rather than pitying the situation di-out was put up to teach and advice on how to well care for women.
“I grew up with my mother advising me that, my child you can play with a lot of things on a woman but never her tears because a woman is a godly being derived from man’s rib to be his companion that is why the song says mosadi ke gopo la gago o rata kapa osa rate” biblically translated as when Adam knelt down asking God for a partner as he expressed loneliness further studying into the bible that man was made to sleep where then from his left rib a woman was made for him. “So we are essentially hurting ourselves and spitting in the hands of God because we asked for companions but now we are mistreating them,” a concerned Lizibo narrates.
Though he sings of taking her out, it does not necessarily mean wining and dining her in restaurants but in actuality refers to a gesture of letting her rest while you do the chores and even cook for a change instead of giving her tears. “Mo shape ka di massage, breakfast in bed, these are the things that bring her joy,” he sings. Being raised by a single mother has really influenced Lizibo’s career to always celebrate women in his music noting that the world is a better place when a woman is happy as he intends to build the nation with his music and advises that it’s not always about fun.
“My role as an entertainer I believe is a God given talent and I always pray to the one who giveth to me, converse with him on why this kind of talent was directed my way as my song diout has made a few couples realize how they were concentrating on the wrong, a testimony of my gift’s intention to make them believe in love and mending hearts” quoting that “God is love, love is God” and expresses himself as a mouthpiece to be used to make all believe in love.

Even though Botswana has over the years been performing extremely poorly at the Miss World competition, the country has confirmed that it will be hosting the beauty festival in 2026. Initially, the country was to host Miss World next year, something it failed to confirm before deadline. Director at Miss Botswana, Benjamin Raletsatsi, says Botswana will be ready then to host all participants. Miss Botswana Top 25 finalists left the boot camp yesterday. Chef Gustos walk of shame
Chef Gustos, the renowned hitmaker, recently experienced what can only be described as a walk of shame at the 8th edition of the Yarona FM Music Awards (YAMAs). Despite being nominated a whopping seven times, he failed to secure a single win. Ouch!
